Lightning Protection Corporation's (LPC) quality control system is certified to ISO 9001. The ISO 9000 series is an international quality assurance standard recognized worldwide. It is required and used by the U.S. government and the U.S. business world to replace the old and less stringent MIL-Q-9858, the MIL-I-45208, and other quality systems. The U.S.A. membership is through ANSI (American National Standard Institute). LPC certification to the ISO 9001 Standard is a more stringent requirement than that of the MIL-Q-9858 Standard. LPC ISO 9001 Certification and Registration (No. A5103) is by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Lightning Protection Corporation is registered to Design and Manufacture Lightning and Surge Arresters. Manufacturers that are certified only to ISO 9002 are excluded from designing products under the standard; certification is only to the manufacturing process. This is important to note that Lightning Protection Corporation is ISO 9001, and is an innovative designer of lightning and surge protective devices to meet customer requirements for protection of their equipment and systems.
